It will handle the workload, but always better to get a wireless router that is dual band. Meaning it can do both 2.4ghz and 5ghz, but that would also require you to have a receiver that can also handle 5ghz connections.
But for the most part the Wifi should be stable and not drop out.
I used to use a similar setup back in the day, and it worked fine when it came to streaming 1080p videos. Though some times when you have a lot of people using the connection, you can have problems with streaming. As you can only put so many people on a single wireless connection before the bandwidth is effected. Gaming doesn't eat a lot of bandwidth like streaming, but it does require a good solid connection. Which this should do, if you don't get a defective unit.
The Cost of getting both 5ghz equipment on each end may cost more than what you are willing to pay right now.
