I wouldn't go that far, a diamond blade is basically used to cut quartz tubing of all sizes in labs. Even Mayhems sells diamond blades for rotary tools. It's assumed you know what you are doing when using a dremel or similar rotary tool.

You can`t cut that glass tubes with a normal glass cutter, that glass is too hard ;-) Thats the reason why you have to use a Dremel ;-)

Thanks for the answer. Will consider this, since I already own a Dremel 4000.

Actually it's not the advise to use something. It's more the answer to my question for a proper tool to cut these tubes. I completelly understand that Dremel is not for everybody, but those who bought one, know well about the risk to get some injury.

I just want to share my recent experience with Aquatuning.

I purchased a fully equipped Aquaero 6 XT setup from them on 8th Feb. Upon delivery a couple of days later, I had a quick look at a few of the items included and noticed a manufacturing defect on my MPS 400. At first I thought it was just a bit of fluff or something inside, that I attempted to carefully free - but it was debris seemingly trapped between the parts internally and not removable.

So I sent Aquatuning an email the same day, showing the above image of the defect. Two days later I got a reply telling me to send the item back to them and they will send a replacement.
I then state that's no problem and could I ask for them to reimburse the postage cost as the item was defective upon arrival, of which I was then asked to provide proof of this cost to them (which I did and they acknowledged / thanked me for).

At this point I'm expecting a simple - send the item back, look at it and see it's defective (as per photo), send me a replacement and refund my postage cost.

So I send the item back and don't hear anything for a day or two after the item was signed for. I then send an email asking if everything was OK. I get a reply back saying they have received it and are sending it to Aquacomputer to 'check'.

I then ask why it's not possible for them to send out a replacement immediately, as they can clearly see the item is visually defective from the photographs and by looking at the item. I also send an email saying that I have since placed another order with them and I'm happy for them to include my replacement MPS 400 to save them on postage.

I get a reply saying this is not possible - 'we do not check defective parts and we get direct confirmation from the manufacturer' (before sending my replacement). I get no indication from them how long this process would take.

Although frustrated by this rigid process of theirs, I quietly accept it. I then send an email asking for them to at least process my refund for the postage (as it had been received) and was prompted by another email asking for me to send the documents again.

So, I send the invoice of the postage over again as requested. I then receive an email from them now saying 'We do not assume to postage costs of you returning the item back to us'.

Currently I am left out of pocket, still with no MPS 400 and still no idea when they are sending a new one to me. I have sent a PM to Pascal last Thursday with no response, I've tried calling on the phone, no answer.

If I had had this part for 6 months and it developed a mechanical fault, of course I would expect them to send it to the manufacturer to test, but this fault can clearly been seen by looking at the item.

A really frustrating experience. If you order from this company you better hope nothing needs replacing.
