Is there a way you can incorporate dog tags in it, maybe hanging somewhere inside the case?

I like this idea, would definitely be a great addition if you can incorporate it smile.gif

I'm going to try and keep it simple. I will have the fallen soldier cross on the side with the saying "All Give Some * Some Give All" on it. It's going to be my HTPC/Steam gaming case for my living room, so it's a small case to start out with. I'll see how much room I have inside once the water cooling gear goes in. I do like the idea of dog tags incorporated into it though.

This may seem a bit odd, and may not work in application, but what about incorporating the Dog Tags in a functional manner? I highlighted the USB area to just make clear what I was thinking, but could one be used almost as a USB cover on the front? Basically allowing it to be incorporated into the build, while also serving a purpose at the same time.

Implementation is my only concern due to not knowing what type of screw they use to seat the USB unit in the front, as well as not knowing dimensions on the edge panels. But if the bottom screw can be counter sunk and laid flush, you could use something like a small spacer to allow movement and use the top screw as a hinge, allowing the dog tag to flip up and out of the way when USB is needed in the front.

For the record also: Subbed definitely to this build. The idea behind it is truly different than what anybody else is doing, and it pays respect to those who have given all to Protect and Serve this country. Thank you for your service @USMC Modder!

I like the idea of doing something like that. I will have to take a look when I get the case in hand to see if I can fit in in somewhere like that. I was thinking that I could hang them from somewhere in the inside. I think I have been convinced though to find a way to add them into the build itself.

EDIT: I might also incorporate them in the backplate of the gpu. I'm going to go through coldzero to do the backplate and I've seen him do some crazy stuff with his designs.

This is a pretty good functional idea. I do think however he would have to paint the tag white and use the black rubber silencer to match the build. Painting the dog tag white would be a deal breaker for me, but I'm pretty stubborn old fashioned when it comes to my military past. Personally, I would hang on of my buddy's tag set on the inside of the case just behind the window tongue.gif But you're not allowed to steal that idea since I might use it for my system build I hope to create and donate to the local National Guard or VFW post.

It's always great to find other former service members with the same hobby of custom builds. Semper Fi @USMC Modder !!

I can tell everyone it was your idea, Lol. The problem with such a small case and a full cooling loop is space to hang it inside. It will get cramped very quickly. I'll have to play around with it after I get the case and some of the components inside of it. The case will take about 2-3 weeks to cut and ship. I'm hoping to have it done my Veterans Day, but we'll see. The wife is always the final say with the money hammer. Once it drops, there is no more spending. rolleyes.gif

EDIT: This thing is going to be on display in my living room and I am going to take it with me to any events or LANs. I want it to make people stop and look at it, while also making them think about the people who have fought and died for their country.

Semper Fi to you as well.

I hope you can get it in time for Veteran's Day, that would be a great day for such a tribute. I can understand the wife hammer situation, right now my wife has our money locked away tighter than a CIA black site. But I can't blame her now that our baby is almost 6 weeks old. thumb.gif.

Thanks. Here's my pic to prove my old stubborn army ways. Took this picture in the kitchen, in all places biggrin.gif . I can't wait to use my wife's camera for build pictures after seeing how awesome the little's spawns pictures came out.

But I digress, I don't want to go too far off topic. Back to Parvum goodness.
