odd. glad you figured it out. did the old psu have a self-test mechanism? did it pass?

PSU. That's what I thought..........anytime computer just reboots (no lock up) its something power related......live and learn!

Most have been. I've run similar setups(and overclocked) on VP-450s with no problems. If the PSU was functioning properly it should have handled the system fine. OP you should be able to get your money back or a replacement PSU(which can be sold or kept for backup) since it sounds like it wasn't working properly.
