EDIT: Does anyone know where I can find a benchmark of the performance difference between the GT210 and GT740?
I doubt you can find any benchmark comparing those two.
The GT210 is several generations old, so reviewers wont include it in GT7xx benchmarks.
GT210 is 64bit bus, never buy a 64bit videocard for gaming. Even the built-in Intel HD graphics are faster than those.
Whats your monitor resolution? if its 1920x1080, go for either R7 250X 2GB 128bit DDR5 or GT740 2GB 128bit DDR5.
Get whatever is cheaper between the two.
If monitor resolution is 1366x768 or lower, get the 1GB version.
If you are willing to spend more, get the GTX750.
Don't buy an R7 260X, it has a major issue. My nephew's Asus 260X has random crashes in windows when the card is at idle or not gaming.
He tried different drivers, a reinstall of win7, and still has the problems today.
If you decide to get a 260x, at least avoid the asus model.
just look at all these guys having the same problem with the 260x:
