You are probably going to manage between 4.4 to 5ghz depending on a lot of factors. That isn't the best mboard though.

Personally I am waiting for the 7890k and 880k to finally get released as an upgrade to my 7850, purely for the increased overclock potential (I am at 4.4 on my 7850k, as the 7870k wasn't that much improved for the money)

I did a 7850k build on an asrock killer board and that clocked very well, 4.5 without breking a sweat :-)
Hoy a Trinity A8 5600k to 4.4 on an Asus plus board like this one i have for the 7870k, so im hoping to see at least 4.6/4.7 :-)

Bearing in mind that the A88X-Pro is 6+2 Phase board to the 4+2 of the A88Xm-Plus I should think that where I run an A10-7870K to cruise safely on the Pro with a Phanteks twin-tower in the 4600s and slog into the 4700s under challenge, I would expect the Plus to operate on a 4500/4600 basis on air.

However, if the Plus runs Godavari at a default voltage of 1.4875V then given the 4800 Kaveri ceiling and the higher binning of Godavari, maybe it can cruise at 4600 as well - especially if you cooled it with a 240 rad.

I see it got a BIOS update at the end of September, so that might help as well.

One indicator might be what Auto clock the Plus runs the 7870K iGpu at: on the Pro it is 866MHz but on the Crossbar Ranger it is 917MHz; if the Plus runs it lower than 866MHz that might show what performance you can expect.

Hope the A10-7890K is released soon.

Seeing how useless asking When is about the A10-7890K etc., perhaps we ought to start asking Which?

With the Kaveri 475 miles long, the Godavari's 910 miles supposes a 91% improvement, leaving the Ganges at 1569 miles promising another gain of 72%:D.

Actually - and if I am wrong someone please correct me - the Biostar and MSI Cpu Support Lists - and noone elses - are the only sources there have ever been for the A10-7890K &etc. We get dark hints that SOMEONE may have tested them some time ago, but everything else is based on those support lists.
