New Steelseries QcK XXL Mousepad - Page 2

I'm ashamed to know this but it was a reddit post where some dude found a secret staircase/ bookshelf thing that led to a room. He didn't have anything to show the size of it but had just eaten a banana and threw the peel there for scale...

On topic: I like this, but would rather it be 450mm tall than 400. Its a gripe i have with the qck+ / heavy. I'd like to be able to have my whole forearm on the mousepad without going off the top.

Nice, but useless for me.

I still want a Sensei optical with 80g and good build quality.

Okay, so those dimensions are real.

It's not announced yet but it'll be available to buy on June the 2nd. I don't have it at work right now but I can take pictures of it with a couple of different keyboard/mouse sets when I get home tonight.

It's 4mm tall and for me, it's definitely the desktop mouse mat to get because of the extra vertical space. That was the one reason I didn't stick with my Goliathus control desktop mat and now this giant mousepad is my go-to at the moment.

Maybe you can ask them why they stopped at 900mm whilst you're reviewing it? tongue.gif

Ha, I'll ask though someone told me that they played with larger sizes before choosing 900mm. I think there might be a prototype that's a few feet long in their offices.

That's just what I heard though.
Included picture for scale.

I think 900mm is a bit of a standard desk size. Obviously there are larger and smaller desks but after shopping for desk last year I noticed a lot of them were 900mm for a small desk.

I wonder if this is the uncoated or the coated version of QcK. Thickness would indicate coated.

SS should really make a premium version of the QcK heavy with a more solid base and overall better build quality, and sell it at a premium price.

Sigh. And here I was hoping for a 60x60 cm pad. Guess I'm just going to have to get a Corepad XXXXL and cut it in half.
My ish

If people are going to buy an extended mouse pad they'll pay a little more for it to be sizeable enough to actually fit the job description.

Mad because disappointed... and because low mouse sensitivity! To be fair I could probably deal and adapt, if I spill coca cola all over my current Heavy I'll give it a go just because, but right now I see no benefit in buying. frown.gif
Corepad Deskpad an option? I got 4XL with 60cm height since almost 2 years (washed it twice in washing machine, no problems).

That's actually quite a nice idea (for those needing 60x60) but if you can use it as a whole for some time if you can. The comfort level of the desk gets awesome. tongue.gif

Coated, you say? I have it on my desk right now, how can I tell?
