Upgraded case & cpu cooler. - Page 2

That is an interesting case. Remember that better fans = better cooling.

For the price of an H60 you could get big air like a D14 that cools better and is quieter.

Don't waste money on a CLC. You can get a much better air cooler for same price and it will run much quieter too.

CM Force 500 case is not bad.
2x front intakes and 2x right side intakes
Remove unused PCIe back slot covers for added exhaust airflow
Don't worry about exhaust fans.

That is a starting point and may need some adjustment. "Ways to Better Cooling" link below has posts to help understand airflow how to use automatic fan control on case fans .. and most anything else needed to setup a case with good cooling.

This. If you are gonna go for water cooling, get one of the best out there or make your custom loop, otherwise they are inferior to air cooling for the same or higher price.

Whats your ambient case temp, and what configuration do you have for the case fans?

You mean the Noctua D14, right? The Corsair H60 is like a lot cheaper to the D14 where I am....

I have 2x front intake fans and 1x outtake at the back of the case. Also removed the pci slots at the back. I was thinking of updated to CM Hyper TX3 EVO cooler. If you could suggest me a better air cooler than the one I bought using the same site, I'd appreciate it.

My room temps are around 35-40 now a days. The config that I have is - 2x intake from the front and 1x outtake from the back.

CPU is hitting ~64c while being just under 30% load. It does count that its quite hot where I live, but such temps... either the thermal paste was crap or the cooler is just plain ridiculously waste of money...

Not a lot to choose from. Depends on your budget.
Deepcool Gammaxx 300 is a good basic cooler. Gammaxx 400 is better.

I have not personally tested either of these coolers but reviews show the Gammaxx as being as good or better. I've included NH-D14 as a comparison of top tier coolers performance.

My current cooler is by Deepcool. Its this Gamma Archer and I'm not really satisfied with it... hence the reason why I was looking at the TX3 EVO.

Will there be any difference in temps if I remove it, clean the thermal paste that came with it, then apply thermal paste. As the reviews of the Gamma Archer are so positive.

I don't know, it might.

If you look at the data I supplied there are a couple of Gamma Archer results there (and I added some more, but in some of the testing the Gamma Archer failed to cool enough to finish the test. Gamma Archer is 25c hotter than GammaXX 300 and

The problem with coolers like your Gamma Archer is they move air down through cooler where it turns out hitting GPU, RAM I/O housings, etc. and turn up alongside of cooler and as it goes by fan is drawn back in.

Also, heatpipe coolers almost always out-perform solid heatsinks like the Archer .. simply because they move the heat from CPU farther away to larger area of fins and generally have better airflow.

"Ways to Better Cooling" link in my sig has lots of info about cooling and airflow.
