So in turn you will Lag/Hitch/frame drop in intensive rendered areas.. with AMDs Bulldozer/PD Architecture...believe me I have tried to remedy it...just no way around it, other than stupid high Overclock that I can't even do/get Stable... while yeah some games/tasks it's not that bad or even noticeable....while others it's really damn bad/aggravating....

Go into/around bunch others/towns/Cities really intensive area's etc then tell me how that 5ghz 8320/8350 is going to do xD
its a good thing i dont play mmos i general... because then i might feel differently i know fx can give up 25% in some cases... which is huge...but at this time shouldnt people be coding for at least 4 cores...its been long enough... this wouldnt benifit one side or the other more but both equally i think... at least 4 cores...i mean look what gta 5 does a good job of keeping usage spread across all 4 modules (8 cores w/e smile.gif )... i mean then in mmos fx would be perfectly fine in all scenarios and intel would have more un-used fps (except in some cases) fps to gloat about smile.gif ( just rustling the jimmies) I can definately see intel a clear winner when you are fighting to get 120 fps....i understand its a little more costly than coding for just two cores but id happily pay more for a game that was done properly...

Other than a few MMOs there's a good handful of titles that do run great on Piledriver/FX as well as doing like almost everything else yeah they perform well. Still think it's a decent Value/not bad money spent.

Many will argue with that just because AM3+ is dead though...and/or whatever Fanboy garbage..I don't know haha

Socket 1150 is dead too.

When I bought my ivy bridge cpu it was the last line of cpu's on the 1155 socket.

The old dead socket argument is laughable really, if the cpu does what you need it to and the board has enough features then go for it thumb.gif

agreed, and I've never had a motherboard outlast the CPU's usefulness.

Yeah, a lot of that goes on...unless you kill some CPU's with Voltages etc haha

Presently my gaming PC have a AMD FX-4110 Black Edition CPU (quite well overclockable). So far I haven't noticed any performance issue with any game. But this winter come out a few 3D games that I want to play a lot (such as Mass Effect 4, Tomb Raider 2, Just Cause 3 etc). Should I upgrade to an FX-8xxx CPU? Would these/similar new games benefit from the 4 extra cores at all? Or would that just a waste of money?

Thank you
solid upgrade is an gpu upgrade . Cpu dosen't make any diffrence in fps unless you only have one core
