Still .. we can all rest, they're the same textures. I don't think we were complaining about the textures, were we ? I thought the arguments were the gutting of all the physic's based water, cut back of the foliage and the tessellation removal. Pretty much all the things that put the PC apart from the console versions.

Exactly. They removed many of the smoke/dust effects too. The PC version still seems quite a bit better, just not as much as many of us were expecting.

It's good enough though! LESS THAN 48 HOURS!

Please learn how tessellation works before trying to claim they are liars. The crack in the wall, the rocks, and that corner would be done with tessellation, extremely high levels of it. It's still the same textures.

Go launch unigine heaven with no tessellation, then again with extreme tessellation. It looks nothing alike but it's still the same textures. smile.gif
Oh yea.. A promo by Nvidia would include a shot with no tessellation. Great way to advertise!

I feel like most people with this complaint have their color a bit too high. I agree the colors are slightly vibrant for this type of game but I wouldn't call them cartoony.

Here's maxed out PC footage. The colors look fine on my hardware calibrated 34UM95, but they do look very vivid on the TN next to it (manually calibrated with a i1Display Pro).

I just launched Unigine Heaven to play with the tessellation a bit and was pretty amazed about the differences it makes, especially the frame rate tanking on my laptop tongue.gif
It just shows that we really should just wait and see what this game has to offer.

They are just advertising to the bigger audience right now. I'm just glad we don't have to wait a year like with GTA V.
I'm just a little disappointed on the heavy Nvidia use, hopefully AMD users don't have to suffer too much.

They are all running pirated versions of the game. The game has already leaked.

CDPR: "We didn't downgrade the textures!"

Nice, they didn't downgrade the thing the consoles can actually run given all the RAM and low processing load. Avoided mentioning the other stuff though. The deceptive speak has convinced me, bait and switch it seems to be.

But isn't that supposed to be impossible since CDPR said that the initial versions are missing some files that need to be downloaded on day 1 which makes running the game impossible for now? Doesn't this require some sort of insider leak?
