What. No.

1) TW3 is a massive open world game that is infinitely harder to run than a BF4 map that has set angles and 2D distance textures for everything out of the playable areas.
2) TW3 has tons of NPCs, scripts, variables, and other things that a MP game like BF4 does not need to process or worry about.
3) The 2013 TW3 graphics make BF4 look like a Nintendo 64 game (Alright, slight exaggeration). Have you watched the direct download non-compressed footage of it? No game to date has ever looked half that good.
4) If NVIDIA themselves said you need 2 Titan X to max the current game at 4K, what makes you think a single Titan X could with the incredibly better 2013 graphics? 4 Titan X could not max the 2013 graphics @ 4K at 60FPS.
5) Ubersampling wasn't included in TW3 because "No computer in the world could handle it, maybe we'll add it in a future patch".

The witcher world is ~30 miles by ~30 miles with no loading screens, including interiors of every house. The size difference between the maps in BF4 and this game aren't even on the same scale and the 2013 videos still beat BF4 graphics by a very large amount.

What if they had made an option to turn on 2013 features and people with lower pcs could chose 2015 downgrade. Nobody would give a fly about it. I would gladly trade another year for it.
And i would still take 2013 features, cause i have the pc for it and i have gsync.

If we remove the comparison, what rig does everyone think that 'demo' in 2013 was running on? I would bet quad 290x's, so conceivably possible, no where damn near practical. Everything was cranked in that 2013 vid.

I dont know man, I thought 2015 is where Stockholm syndrome, sympathy for abuse and defense of immoral practice is the norm in this culture.

They didn't actually play the 2013 video afaik. Just because a trailer features gameplay segments doesn't mean that someone was actually playing the title in real time. Im actually surprised that so much of the community doesn't understand marketing lingo. The video was taken and then most likely smoothed out, contained in-engine cutscenes, etc. Nearly every alpha footage gameplay trailer does this.

It is nearly the equivalent of running a video file.

I thought they already said the 2013 demo was pre-rendered, cherry picked footage; i.e. not real-time demo running on "consumer-level" PC

Because its not that simple. They have to make the game twice basically to do that. And what is the point of a game that nobody can run? 2013 graphics were insane, i dunno what kind of magic they used to pull it off, probably sacrificed a child to satan or something. No standard PC would be able to run it at all. Complete waste of time for the development team.

The downgrade isn't just about the 2013 footage. There is 2014 video that looks better than what we have now, and it was narrated gameplay, not trailers.
