Windows Theme Shenanigans...

So, my brother was fooling around on my computer and managed to create this beautiful theme for me. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Quite impressive actually.

Unfortunately for me, there is a bug of some sort with the start screen and applying themes. Parts of the previous theme stick in the start screen, switching back and forth to other themes has no effect. The logic of the bug is sporadic. As you can see only one tile is green. Restarts had no effect, shutdown and boot changed the tiles from all green to one green. After clicking them the hot pink outline goes away permanently. Makes no sense. To top it off, due to some "design oversights" there is neon green highlighting on top of neon green lettering... lol

Here's some more pictures explaining the problem when I switch to my theme... Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I should note I have not tried deleting any themes after things got stuck because I don't know how this bug behaves and I don't want to permanently mess anything up...
EDIT: I decided to backup and delete the theme then restart. IT'S STILL THERE! cryingsmiley.gif

Your brother has a talent he should never let go doh.gif

Try doing a system restore to a point just before he did what he did.

You bet!

Just click original and save as. Sorry it's kind of a crappy resolution, but this one seems to be the original in PNG. Make sure you set it to stretch. That makes it rarer.

I've found a workaround. Resizing affected tiles updates them to the applied theme. Make sure to click the "tile overview" or start menu zoom out button in the bottom right corner. This updates some of the button elements. tongue.gif

Here's the theme file for anyone who's interested lol. Use at your own risk. SmugFrog-Pepe-Pyramidedition.zip 2k .zip file
