Trusted Software or Virus?

Hey Folks

Ok..So yesterday I downloaded CustoPack theme changer or whatever. Installed it and rebooted my PC, after login in, I got this white screen for like 5 seconds, then I see my desktop, now I fear it might be something like a virus, I ran full scan and nothing showed up, So I checked the file insight and it came up it is a trusted file, So I uninstalled CustoPack, and the white screen was gone, Just the normal black screen for a second and my desktop loads (Don't know what's the blackscreen for?) Now I am totally confused while writing this..?

Maybe the pack wasn't supported by your OS or the installation failed?

Nope, the installation works fine, it's just the white screen bugging me.

Perhaps the software need some time to patch/convince Windows to allow the modifications? Ask support about the software functionality, considering the 5sec white screen "patching time."

Or rather ask two good questions:
- do you really need this software? (I would consider that a bloatware, but... that is just me... I want system as Spartan, as it could get)
- are you aware, that virus detection works only for known viruses?

I think that's a pretty good bet. A good virus doesn't really show itself like that. Either they go all out on the suspiciousness to incite panic, or they try to hide it really well to keep infection rates high.
