3d monitors

Dear All

I hope u all are doing good, this is my first post on here, well I am thinking of buying a 3d monitor the Samsung T27A950 to be exact.
but as far as I can see there are no more 3d monitors made since years.

I tried to chat with Samsung helpdesk and they couldn't help me with my simple question of why they stopped manufacturiong 3d monitors.
is it business issues or eye health issues.
so my questions are as follows:

1- why I cant see any more 3d monitors manufactured.
2- what is the difference between 3d tv and 3d monitors as I can see 3d tvs r much cheaper with bigger sizes
3- what do u think about the T27A950 Samsung

thank you all

I use to game in 3D, with Nvidia 3DVision for many years and it was awesome an experience, however with the frustration of so many games being problematic with shaders, sections of games being rendered in 2D, lack of support from developers and hardware limitations I moved away last week to a 2K LCD.

it's been a while since I could run a game maxed out on my 2x 980's, but now 3Dvision has been removed I have no problems.

3D gaming has always been and always will be a gimmicky and poor experience due to just the lack of interest from most people and therefore lack of R&D to improve it. 3D movies have come a long way though and i dont mind going to see those anymore, though i'd still prefer just a normal imax showing, especially since i already wear glasses and its a bit uncomfortable putting on 3D specs.

With that said VR is shaping up to be a great experience and will surely kill and bury whatever is left of 3D.

Until technologies like magic leap or hololens all 3D displays are flawed, even Oculus. In real life depth and focal distance are connected. To focus on a object further away you have to change where your eye focuses. This is done very automatically by our vision system and it feels weird when the focal distance doesn't match apparent depth. (Less weird than when a 3D object has 2D shadows but game engine support is another issue)

I think this is why 3D on 2D screens never seems quite right to people which is why manufacturers stopped selling 3D displays. The cost of producton is less than the increased sales due to the feature since most people don't like 3D enough to pay for it.
