I would too but I can't stand the Q9550 with 20-30 FPS lower in games and keeping my 760 at 60% usage. Also, I can't overclock because my board sucks so I rather upgrade now and upgrade to Zen next year or the year after. I see that the 8320 is bang for my buck and it's on sale for $160 so I'm going for it.

which games would you play?whats your budget?

despite the improvement, your jumping from one dead platform to another.

Heck my laptop contends with 8320 in a lot of scenarios

If you're going to for it, you should be able to do better than 160 for the 8320. It's a fine line you should tread; get a strong enough platform to last you at least 3 years, if needed, but without spending foolishly on a dead socket.

you realize that Zen isn't going to be on AM3+ right?

its getting a new socket.

so if you want the Zen, wait it out.

Oh, and I saw that the i7 4900mq does much better than the fx 8350, is that true?
I mean, it's a laptop processor beating an AMD processor.

i7 2920xm > i7 980x > 8320

Im about 5% difference to the 2920xm, though ill likely get the 2860qm as its essentially the same thing just cooler running.
