Full permissions in Windows 8.1

Thread Starter
In Windows 7 I could enable the administrator account and have all permissions to everything and I would rarely encounter the "Permission denied" notice.
In Windows 8.1 I have enabled the administrator account and I am often encountering these annoying "insufficient privileges" notices. Why is that?
Is there anything I can do to just let me do what I want without having to right click to run as administrator, etc?

I'm on admin account, why do I have to right click to run as admin?

Makes something trivial like modifying the hosts file a total nuisance.

Try controll pannel>user accounts>change your account type

Edit: also under user accounts>change user account control settings, change to never notify
