Go Hawks! It looks pretty good... and finally the ughly noisy Intel box cooler is gone! Way to go! thumb.gif

Thanks! And yes, getting the craptastic intel cooler out was priority number 1 smile.gif... now, unlike the Clink on gameday, this machine is practically silent. Once I get the gpu block in, it will be thumb.gif

I have a few tweaks and details left to address, but things have definitely progressed nicely.

Go Hawks!

The case also has vents in the top as well, so if you are looking for minimal modification you wont need to cut anything.

For the 2.5 HDDs, I cut a piece of acryllic into 2 pieces and drilled mounting holes into the side. It was a quick mod. The there is also quite a bit of room right next to the psu for harddrives as well.

As for the reservior, I think that you could have enough vertical space, but as for space between the front radiator and gpu, it would depend on the length of the gpu and the thickness pf your rad. My 970 touches the res, which is just barely touching the radiator. In fact, I cannot get the gpu out of the case it is souch a tight fit.

I think you didn't understand or im not understanding you, i want to mount the fans in the top part of the case where won't be able to see from the outside. For better understanding I label the places in this picture:

Thank you for the support!

Ah! Gotcha... it could be possible, with some finagling, to do what you are thinking...however, there will be little room between the fans and the top of the case. It would work pretty well with a thin (15mm) fan. In order to install thr fans as you are thinking would require taking the top of the case off and installing the fans on top of the mounting tray with the radiator underneath. You would then attach the top of the case over the top and your fans would be hidden. I hope my explaination makes sense. I can try and take some better pics tomorrow to better illustrate what i was trying to describe. smile.gif

Makes a lot of sense, I want to be hidden and win some space in the case to put a 45mm radiator with no problem fitting the reservoir i want, and a didn't like the way the case looks with the fans showing, i prefer the hidden fans!

Hey Thanks! This was definitely a fun build. The decal was a standard vinyl that you would use for car decals, once on it sticks pretty much for good.. as for the mirror finish, I made sure to sand and scuff things up good before painting, I used a self etching primer (wet sanded after it dried) and then your garden variety rustoleum spraypaint enamel... I was just very slow with the coverage to keep things even.

Thanks for the kind words, been a Hawks fan practically my whole life.. grew up watching the likes of Cortez Kennedy in the early 90's and suffered through the Rick Mier years. I feel fortunate to have been able to get to see at least 1 game in the old Kingdome, also got to watch a game from the field when Hasselbeck was still QB. All in all, its a great time to be a Hawks Fan, and always fun to find others out there (I live in bronco country frown.gif )... GO Hawks!

I date back a little farther, used to catch the occasional game with Jim Zorn was still QB, but since we moved to Montana when I was a kid, didn't get to catch many games on TV. By the time I moved back to Seattle, that jerk Behring was trying to move the team to LA.

Yes, it has been a good time to be a Seahawks fan. Stay strong in Donkey Country.
