[pcgameshardware] Witcher 3 with the day one patch. Several visible improvements. - Page 6

I *much* prefer TW1 graphics over TW2 and still do.

TW2 is either overly sharp (by default) or overly blurry (sharpness filter disabled in config files). It ruined the game - graphically - for me. I couldn't look past it the entire time I was playing.

Never been much of a Witcher fan, I mean I never played it. But make it cheap enough, it'll be worth the shot!

I think Aliens: Colonial Marines was the worst of the recent debacles, although Watch dogs was a bigger game.

Holy stutterballs batman.

Can't wait myself but after all this poop-flinging I'm really not holding out any hope. Seems like CDPR have been kicked out of the PC bed, especially with the censorship on their forums.

New trend?

Are you new to gaming or something?

And don't make me bring out the 1999 demo of the original Halo. You'll be left wondering what happened to the dinosaur-type creatures.

It appears environment tessellation was left out/removed, but water tessellation for the ocean is still in according to Nvidia's tweak guide.

To each their own, i loved the Witcher 2 graphics personally.

The constant lag/stutter when Geralt rides would kill the game experience for me. Console barely handles the game. Expect to see more downgrades. Honestly would take a drop in res for smoother gameplay. There is lag when the item menu pops up. Geez.

It bothers me when people say they don't care about graphics, but then spend hundred's to thousands on Graphics Processing Units.

Thats a bit of a ridiculous statement don't you think?
I spend 600 euro's for my 290x i think graphics aren't really that important for a game to be good but that doesn't mean i wan't to play on 480p with 10fps....
One of the most fun games i've played in recent years is for example Risk of Rain not really graphical i would say.

I have the game preinstalled manually. Is the day 1 patch posted? How do I install it. I don't see it on GOG under my witcher 3?

The game is not out yet so no patch yet. Gotta wait another 3 and half hours from now when typing this.
