Personal experience, i played the game this morning and combat mechanics are not made for keyboard and mouse usage but more likely for gamepads. There's a tutorial screen but it shows nothing yo sou have to press all the keys to get correct combination or simply pause the game + check journal + check key bindings etc. Which is weird. If there's a tutorial game should show them directly, in tutorial.

Mouse sensivity is fuzzy as well, prety much like WD.

The game is made for consoles, that's obvious.

This landed itself into problem territory when we realized the next-generation systems could not simply meet our graphical output to the desirable level of quality that we needed. There were several options: build three different builds or consolidate to the nearest denominator, which is what we did. We took the specifications of the lowest performing throughput system which I don’t care to mention here at all to avoid that discussion,

We all know they were talking about the Xbox one.

I believe the PS4 was released ( At least in the UK ) sometime in Nov 2013, CDPR should've had either specs or something more physical by then. They have admitted somewhere ( I can't think where atm ) that they've had the specs of the current-gen consoles since 2012 at the very least.

I just realized that the console versions are way better of than the PC version, wow. Thanks CDPR, thanks...
Game looks pretty average if you ask me, I hate the vegetation, looks damn ugly.

It's clear CDPR did not give a crap about the PC version and it's evidence by how bad the game runs in comparison to how it looks. GTA V blows this out of the water in looks and runs twice as well. What a waste of $47 on my part.

The color palette is absolutely hideous and the grass/trees look like cell shaded cartoony garbage with textures right out of 2007. Meanwhile CPU usage is never going above 25% on any core which just shows you right there what kind of CPU this game was designed for.

I've been hearing a lot of this. Some gamers defending the intense gpu requirement due to the openworld. R* managed to optimize their release. CDPR dropped the ball. I'm not touching this until we get a graphics & performance patch.

Yeah seems poorly coded or something, runs horribly on sli 780's..@ 4k, 1440p and struggles 50 fps on 1080?? Back to GTA 4k 60fps..
Sorry NVIDIA not ready to upgrade yet- hopefully it's just my setup.. rolleyes.gif

Yes I can confirm this. This game looks like an oil painting in motion except for the character models. they got that right. everything else looks hideous.

To be fair, Rockstar had almost 2year for the PC port.
Do we really want to wait like that for every single game?

Played 8hours now and loving it.

Going to mess around a bit with the settings tonight to see if i can lower the rest to get hairworks on at a decent framerate, the puffy wolf/dogs look so great.

Even though i'm on AMD, do let me know if you found a way to manage it. I'm curious to see if I can get 40fps with it on somehow if everything else doesn't suffer too much

I noticed very little difference between medium and ultra.. Some more trees added, some more shading, and Geralts hair got some more lines. rolleyes.gif

I watched the trailer and remained skeptical and then after reading the interview, I bought it purely on their words because I thought they would actually follow through with it. Now I regret paying the $53 for this game and wish I'd gotten it for $10-15 like everyone else.

I know I sure as hell wouldnt care how much GPU horsepower it would take to run the 2013 trailer, just give it to me instead of this.
