Any feedback on this fan?

Thread Starter
I'm looking at maybe getting this the Enermax UCCLA12P 86.7 CFM 120mm Fan to replace the stock fan on my heatsink. It has 3 speed settings

So I'd like to know
A) Is it a good fan
B) what setting would be best for cooling a cpu
C) and if I used them as case fans what would be the best setting?

Good, I don't know.
As for best speed, the highest speed will provide the most cooling. How much cooling do you need?

You could check the differences in air flow (CFM) and pressure (MM H2O) of you existing fan(s) and see which has better specs, yours or the new one.

As for how much cooling I need I'll be overclocking a 4690k or 4790k haven't decided which to get if I get the 4690k I'll go as high as I can with it as for the 4790k I'd probably only go up a few. As for the CFM the stock fan on the True Spirit 120m is 50 Max where the CFM on of the Enermax can reach up to 82-83 so as far as the CFM goes it's Enermax FTW but not sure of quality of the Enermax

$15 and 15 minutes to change out a fan isn't a big investment.

Actually I was able to get the fan for $8 which is great on a tight budget and it would take not even 5 min to change since the heatsink isn't attached to Mobo yet just got to pop cover offon, switch fans, put cover back on and prepare it to be mounted. Spec wise it's way better than stock fan so figure at 8 bucks it's worth a shot worse comes to worse I find another fan if it doesn't keep CPU cool

Indeed! The FUN is in the playing...getting better results is the bonus. Getting worse results builds character. Not that we all need more character. But, many can use more fun! ;-)
