You would have to guess Nvidia will improve performance for the old titan, 780 & ti. Competing with the 280x or old HD7970. I wonder how the gtx 680 does.

Looks dodgy to me.

The 780Ti should definitely be equal to a 290X, which is equal or usually in between the 970 and 980. nVidia Are definitely playing a dirty game, I'd be really pissed if I had a Kepler.

But then saying that I'd be pissed if I had a 970, as that is 3.5+0.5GB VRAM as stated in the review.

Putting aside that I don't like games like Tomb Raider I won't buy games that are this heavily biased. Sadly Witcher is a great game so can't resist.

Edit: this 6870 has really had it. Can't wait for the 3xx series.

Difference if I'm not mistaken is that TressFX is open GW is not. Nvidia plays the closed game API while AMD keeps things open.

But every GW games you guys bring up TR. It's one game. GW has plagued too many games. AMD did it once, Nvidia has been doing it multiple times. Even one month is fine. I am ok if i know there is a fix. GW will never run well in AMD card period. It's been 6 months since FC4 and GW features tank my GPUs and in reality they make the game look worse. TressFX actually looked good to me.

No they won't. Nivida doesn't give a flip about us Kepler owners anymore; they've moved on to bigger and better things. rolleyes.gif You can't begin to convince me that the Titan and 780Ti are somehow suddenly slower cards than the freaking 960 now. At the 980 launch there was, what, 5-10% difference between the 780Ti and the 980 (and that's being generous when OCing is taken into account) yet somehow now Kepler can't even keep up with a 960? Its quite obvious what is going on here...

If Nvidia keeps not optimizing for Kepler it sends the wrong message for the future, it brings short term dividends and long term losses in customer loyalty. Not to mention that they are inadvertently saying that current GCN Hawaii is so good that it is superior to Kepler after all and even competes with Maxwell. They are allowing history to be rewritten and if you think about it it makes a hole in people's conclusions of long term value and has implications for the future. Bad strategy, Nvidia.

Huge from for 290X

Are we supposed to be surprised that a vendor developed technique is faster on that's vendor's cards? Disable Hairworks and performance on the 290X seems fine.
