Also sapphire 285 "+50mhz" nearly = to og titan ..... pitiful. -- this is the the card the need to continue decent driver support for....

Kepler users have a legitimate gripe with Nvidia in regards to them no longer providing performance improvements.

Until someone takes the time to try and isolate the cause and show that the only differentiating factor is or is not the drivers, you're all just farting in the wind. It doesn't matter who it comes from, if you want to prove there's been no change in drivers run the tests that shows Kepler hasn't been decreasing in performance. If you want to show it has gone downhill, you can run the tests too.

All of these different charts and claims mean nothing because you guys are trying to analyze the performance of one piece in a complicated machine without checking to see what effects the rest of the machine is having. Kill the argument with fire and run some clean tests.

The two results from Techpowerup are from the same reviewer. He is also using the same cpu, memory and motherboard for each test at the same frequency. He's even using the same hard drive.

The only thing that changed is the drivers. Everything else is the same except each test brings 1 new card to the table.

I don't see any place the information could be more valid.

Which is why I'm so skeptical about the whole thing. If it is such a obvious and problematic crippling, why has no one bothered to show it definitively?

And again, I don't think anyone is disputing that Kepler cards have lagged behind in some of the newest games (at least so far, who knows what future driver versions may bring - GTA5 seems pretty balanced, for example), it's the claim that they are intentionally making the cards slower at issue.

Hardly. Have you played it yet? Graphics don't = the performance. That and, in my case at least, Crossfire is broken.

So I turned off Ambient occlusion and turned down foliage, and have Hairworks off and I'm now getting 55-60fps@2560x1080 with my 780ti my better then 33-44fps

Yea a couple of those settings, especially hairworks are a bit insane on the fps difference.

Meh...

HBAO+, AA, and everything on High. except shadows, which I had to turn to medium in order to get 60FPS. HW is off. (1080p) mad.gif

It's not playable on ultra for me, period.

All High and I get average 52-55ish (dips in the upper 40s), but it jumps around. Somewhat stuttery and I can't play like that.

Aperanty had HW just to Gerald. Now off and AA off and game runs much much better. From ~ 30 fps to 50 fps with everything else Ultra.

That 33-44fps was with Hairworks off lol

For how the game looks I'm not satisfied with the graphics to performance ratio

Project Cars and TW3 aside for a moment, this debate got me curious enough to go over some of TPU's gaming benchmarks run on the 960, and I was actually surprised to see 2 other titles in which the 960 comes within 10% of the 780 -- COD:AW and Far Cry 4.

So I think now the key question to ask is, do all 4 of these games -- COD:AW, Far Cry 4, Project Cars, TW3 -- have anything in common that make Kepler cards run so badly on them?
