Everytime you alt tab the game will go into a fake fullscreen. Go back in the menu and re-enable fullscreen. This will fix the SLI scaling issues, and improves performance in general. Suggest not alt tabbing.

This game is already getting lots of bad reviews on Steam, and probably Metacritic when they start allowing them. There's some pretty big bugs already found, and some computers simply get unplayable framerates on the lowest settings. Lots of people claiming they crash constantly, but this game is very demanding on the GPU. My Titan X quickly sees 81C with my custom fan profile which is very loud, on default fan profile it sees 86C. Hot hot hot...

I've seen Nvidia cripple GK110 to make Maxwell look a lot better. The Nerf is real. More noticeable on some games more than others, even synthetic benchmarks will prove that out.

Then quantify it for us. Clean install a pre-Maxwell driver, set defaults, and run some benches, then clean install a recent driver, set defaults, and re-run the benches. Post the numbers and put this debate to rest once and for all.

Why, on the whole Internet, has no one done this yet?

Ty will try it. Also the demanding part.. Projectcars. Thats like running 3dmark firestrike gpu benching. Only game that hits full utilization n hits the tdp.

Yeah, I get all kind of artifacts when I force Crossfire and GPU usage is pretty abyssmal. On the upside, I don't have my new monitor yet so one of my cards can run it maxed with minimal slowdowns @ 1080p. (1200Mhz Core, vBIOS that prevents throttling.)

This is what my GPU usage looks like with Crossfire being forced.

Afterburner showing 99.9% utilization and 103% TDP for me in this game.

Yup! Wouldn't suggest playing with KB+M. I gave it a go, was awful. The reviews didn't lie that the game should be played with a controller.

I don't know if it is because I can't push my system too far, but with my Radeon R7 265 I can play it at 720p at decent framerates (40 - 60) mixing low to high settings, I still enjoy it and it looks awesome. Even not being on max you can just admire the landscapes, too bad I can't play more because I gotta get up early to work, but this far it's worked well for me, no crashes. Tho I noticed it really taxes hard my CPU and GPU, going around 90% - 99% on both with my current settings.

well this game runs fine on "ultra" on my 970 at 1080p... of course fine is relative... call it 50fps, sometimes it gets choppy though usually its sitting at 60fps. It's unplayable at 1440p on ultra.

I gotta say though, the graphics are trash. DA-I looks a lot better. really i'm surprised at how cartoony/poor the graphics are. i expected better. I chopped a bandit in half, and his model went from clean with no blood to dyed red shirt as his body split in two in a single frame. one moment clean the other dead. horrid. the foliage ranges from great to horrible, typically based on how close you are. the further away the foliage the worse it looks, the closer the better. for all the hubub about the hair effects, it's pretty poor looking, inside all the characters look like they're outlined.

seriously. THIS is the game that taxes a gtx970 in 1080p? hard to believe it.

this is just a poorly optimized console port. I expect the performance for everything will get a lot better in the coming months as the game gets patched and drivers come out. but right now i suspect it's just a game released too early and unfinished.

BTW: you have to play this game with a controller. i tried with keyboard and mouse, it's unplayable. my xbox controller works perfect.

-also, no crashes or bugs yet... so i'll give it props for that.
