Indeed, especially considering this was on a 'semi-final" build.

If Nvidia is really doing this with their old architecture of cards, then I'll be sure to go with AMD next time. That is unacceptable, I really hope this is just an issue with the game build or benchmark that will be rectified. There have been signs of Nvidia downgrading their kepler cards before since maxwell, but absolutely nothing like this... mad.gif

Even if they have the lead, usage of it further increases their performance vs other competitors(and oddly themselves when speaking about kepler vs maxwell). This easily makes nvidia's non full maxwell chips look even better than they really should(960 beating many top end cards). Plays on the idea that nvidia can make more for less(sell GM204(980/970) and GM206(960)) as flagship level products when they really aren't.

The thing that is most important is speeding up development time. The problem that arises is the cost that is taken to speed up that development time using this method.

you REALLY think any developer PURCHASES gameworks ip? LOL they get money and manpower blown in they butts so nvidia can claim the territory in these games...

this bench doesn't say much cos isn't final version
about nvidia nerfing the keplers lol srsly do you guys still talk about that
its just old tech, maxwell is way more efficient by core count and memory band
if you compare a driver from months ago with kepler in bf4, you will see the improvement...
So this is how NVIDIA treats its past gen GPUs?I am regreting having just upgraded to a 980 if I am gonna get the same treatment next year when Pascal launches.I had upgraded from 3 gens of AMD and it seems they were better in this respect

So how do you explain the 780TI getting beat by a 290X constantly in recent games?

This build has 2 of the 3 day one patches. If true, don't expect much (or any) difference in 5 hours.

Huge from for 290X

In the real world that is no different.

Nobody is going to play a game with settings that averages 28 fps, and nobody is going to play with settings that average 36.5 fps. Both setups would be deemed unplayable, if you want to argue that there is a 7-9 fps difference I'll simply say "so what, it's still unplayable".

Yeah, if other sites confirm this, I'm going to be so pissed that my 780 Classy is now basically worthless. I love Physx and Gameworks stuff and have never had an AMD GPU, but will strongly consider it if so.
