How many rads for 4790k and 2 7970s?

Hello there. Just took my PC out for some cleaning and was thinking about the rads. I have one 120 one 240, and one 360. Currently I have installed 1 360 and one 240 but it is an experimental setup and the temps are quite high under load.
The cpu runs at 4.9 @ 1.28v and the gpus @ 1200/1750 @ 1.18V
My case is a stacker 935.
What I was thinking is the 360 in the 915 (which will be below the 925), the 120 at the rear of the 925 and the 240 on the top of the 925, but outside the case.

It will be pump > cpu > 240 rad > 120 rad > gpus (parallel link) > 360 rad > tank and so on.

Is that setup extreme for the hardware in use? What other combos would you suggest?

No, its not extreme at all.

I have 2 360s and a 240 in my stacker and I have 4770K and a 980GTX.

Go push pull an the 360, that will help a bit. The you could think about another 915 for the top to put the other rads in - also push pull.

What is your air flow like - is it possible you are pumping warm air from one rad through another?

well 540 is what you need for two GPUs and 1 CPU.. if you are having temp issues. there might be a lot of factors.

1- Your fans are not running at adequate speeds.
2- You have high ambient temps
3- your blocks are not clean and needs cleaning.

The setup was a a lot better when on a HAF X, a triple on the top and a single at the back. Max temps on the GPUs were around 50C under full load and the CPU around 70 (it was an i7 950 though).

The problem now, is that I tried fitting 2 rads on the 915. Both pulling air from the outside but both having the exhaust in the case. So, that made things a bit warm on the inside tongue.gif and of course only push. No space for push pull.

It was like -->RAD hotair RAD<--
I was thinking about a 915, but when I get some money for it. Now I dont have any extra money to spend on a 915.

So you guys think putting all the rads inside?

Both the 360 and the 240 will be push pull, only the 120 will be push.

should be plenty. i had this (i7 5820K and 2 290s) . . .

I saw 50C on the cpu in BF4. GPUs were much cooler. All stock, though. just one fan per 120.
