Enermax T.B Silence 120 Ticking noise - Page 3

For pure satisfaction, the clicky enermax would be a great shroud donor! ;-)

For more shroud material, could scour a local computer shop for old dead 120s. Or check a local hardware store for some 120mm id pipes/ducting. Or go the foam art board route at the crafts store. Or do what I normally do and get a roll of structural duct tape in just the right color.

Yeah, I've been asking my friends about some dead 120s but most of them either have good ones or use 92s/80s. I have a cooler master one here that I might cut up, but nothing really wrong with it other than it's sleeve. I don't like sleeve...

On the note of shroud donor, I don't know that I'll use it. I submitted a ticket on it, as well as it having the stamped enermax holes on the side, that would interfere a bit, I think.

How old are the Enermax fans?

About 2 months, probably less.

Ouch! That's some bad luck or bad batch. Or both.

However, with only a 1 year warranty, Enermax isn't super confident in the bearing design either.

They're actually replacing the first one without requiring me to send in the defective. Free shroud wink.gif
