Sooooooooooooo this is for people who dont want to use thermal paste??? I'm confused... this just seems very inefficient. What are these for?

For use on waterblocks and maybe stock coolers in the case you lost or damaged your stock pads. But these AC pads are no better than bottom of the line pads you already get on whichever product you started off with.
