i5-2500K CPU at stock speed
12GB of RAM, only 8GB readable.
My first motherboard was the P8Z68-V. I was certain the BIOS was corrupt so I got a new BIOS chip. Installed it, flashed the latest BIOS and I still have the CPU ratio multiplier missing. No big deal. The 12GB of RAM were missing and only 8GB was "seen" by the mobo. No big deal, I ordered a new motherboard!
Now i have the P8Z77-V LK. Everything should work. I booted up, 12GB was there!!! CPU RATIO/Multi was there!!! WOOO!!!!
Restarted the computer and went into the BIOS again.
Everything went back to how it was. Only 8GB being seen, no CPU ratio/multiplier available.
What do you guys think is the problem? The RAM sticks are for sure good. The mobo sees them as 1333Mhz when they should be 1600Mhz. CPU ratio not available.
Should i format my SSD or something?
