[FUD] AMD Fiji aims at $849 retail price - Page 8

Sounds like the $1350 Titan X rumors and the $700 290X rumor that fudzilla posted way back:

http://www.fudzilla.com/32774-radeon-r9-290x-to-cost-us-$699

My guess is it will be ~$700-750

It's a very sad day in the market when people see $849 as a good deal in comparison. Both sides need to be brought down a peg.

People love rumors. FUD along with WCCF are literally the TMZ of the PC hardware world.

There's no way it's only 4GB though.

Agreed. AMD would have to be delusional to price the 4GB version at $849 if it doesn't beat Titan X by at least 15% at every resolution. Even then it would be a hard sell, and for a card being promoted as 4K ready, a sick joke. Would also be business suicide for AMD.

But gotta say, kind of entertaining how every little bit of baseless rumor gets everybody so fired up. Maybe I should start my own rumor site lachen.gif

(come to think of it, why do I get the feeling someone decided to make a rumor out of AMD's "we don't want to be the cheape solution anymore" statement biggrin.gif)

I hope the rumors arent true. But I once considered getting a EVGA 980 Classifed Kingpin so there's that. thumb.gif

Makes no sense over paying for any pc components when the PC market is merely indies and console ports in high resolution.
