Yeah, the "bad AMD drivers" are clearly underperforming the "good Nvidia drivers" for GK110 and Kepler owners.... Lol

FWIW i'll acknowledge they're always a bit late to the party but from the way people talk CCC has improved leaps and bounds from where it was, and through my experience i'm inclined to agree.

I tend to steer clear of Radeon cards after AMD's acquisition of ATI. I owned two 3870x2's once, and it was an amazing experience. Then I tried to go dual cards again with 2x 5770 (since I was still only at 1680x1050), and it was a nightmare. I couldn't believe how bad the support was. Tried again with dual 6950s, and hated it (that was probably my fault though, since I went with the 1GB model). I suppose I only really ran into issues when running multiple cards in an AMD system... but I had such a bad experience that when I recently had the opportunity to purchase a 295x2, I chose not to.

I have literally never had an issue with any Nvidia card setup I've owned, from my dual GTX260c216s, to my dual GTX460s, to my single 560Ti, to my single 670, and now my single 970.

That is one of the most depressing PC game videos I have ever seen. PCMasterRace? Really? That is beyond pathetic. The highest of the highest end hardware you can get and it pushed out those kind of pathetic numbers? I am seriously lost for words. Show this to console people and they will tell you to keep it. It would completely turn them off. Just a single $1,000 card cannot even push Ultra 60fps @1080p with hair works. Zero excuses for that. Period. You don't have to worry about consoles going away any time soon with performance like that on PC.

No practical way this can be defended in any form. Something seriously wrong with you if you say other wise. You are a lost soul with to much time and money if you think other wise.

Id really have to see the game in person to see whats happening onscreen that would hammer my titan so hard. I want to think that games have advanced so far so quickly that a $1100 card is rendered .... useless by pc standards in 2 years. My personal opinion is that nvidia is playing us for fools. Everything in me says nvidia is lying and messing with drivers in order to drum up sales on "older" hardware. Nvidia has REALLY been a pack of ...... for the last number of years ... corrupt imo. I am glad to have purchased console this round. I love my PC but stunts like this make me feel icky just turning it on.

BTW: how about the r9-280x?! It's like an old wine, it just keeps getting better with age. Now it's toasting the original Titan in TW3! That's amazing, and AMD hasn't even released an optimization patch yet. Gotta applaud the old workhorse. That old Tahiti chip is gonna go down as a classic if it can stretch out it's utility in 1080p another year or two. wink.gif

yeah i know the tahiti chips aren't getting stronger, it's just funny to see their slow climb over superior kepler cards in the gaming benches ever since Maxwell came out (this has been going on before TW3 came out)
DA:I looked fantastic on the PC, on the consoles you're right, it looked like trash. Try it again on a gaming pc, it's gorgeous.

Thought the same thing when I reviewed the results. It's not an aberration, 7970/280x has really aged well, definitely looks to be a classic. But those AMD drivers, they've gotta be horrible, right? tongue.gif

I doubt it. These same people you claim to foresee getting enraged I foresee buying the Pascal card and not looking back.

There's something weird going on in this game. I can't quite put my finger on it yet. In Baasha's vid, his scaling was the same regardless of resolution like there's a limiter in there somewhere. Dunno...

These threads crack me up, first tons of people are like never gonna buy AMD cause drivers are just so bad. Then someone with nvidia hardware is complaining about performance and crashing. The game just released and is probably going to need patches and optimizations along with drivers needing improvements. MultiGPU performance isn't going to be top notch out the gate. Hell if it can't run good on a single GPU why would it run good on multigpu?

I haven't bought the game yet for two reasons "gameworks/nvidia hairdos" and waiting for CF support. Being an early adopter is always prone to issues. I also don't understand why people still expect highest in game settings to be always playable. It is pretty much a given max settings are either too much for current hardware, or poorly optimized or a little of both. If you guys arent happy with pre orders and PC releases and PC hardware why not just save yourself the aggravation of posting your constant misery online. Go get a console and be done with it. Games like Witcher 3 don't need 144hz + 144FPS + MAX SETTINGS do they? I mean isn't 144hz\144fps more for FPS gamers who need it for competition? Who are you competing against in Witcher 3?

I wish you all the best and hope in the end your happy but it's hard to understand how with all the bashing and whining on these threads...
