Steelseries VS Razer Which mouse?

Thread Starter
Hi guyz I play CS:GO as a primary AWPer and rifler for an amateur team. I've been using a Logitech G502 for ever and I find it too heavy nowadays as its weight makes it hard to lift. I have a claw/palm hybrid grip and I've been looking for a good replacement to retire the ol' G502. I've whittled it down (based on research and pro gamer preferences) to the Razer Deathadder (2013) or the Steelseries Rival (or even Sensei) I play at 400 DPI and 500hz, raw input off, IG Sens 1.8 (still tuning as I go), accel off, etc (the usual). I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion between the two, or if they suggest another mouse, that be great. Also, budget of about 70-90 NZD

I love the sensei. If you like it more suited for right handed grip the rivals not bad either.

I have been playing CS for many years and been on Logitech side for god knows how long. Mainly using G500 and G700 (wired mode) and while G700 is ok, G500 is awesome for my grip. The question is why everyone suddenly have started using Zowie's in CS scene? Are the optical sensors really that good? I might just grab one to try it out.

Decent shapes, simple, nice sensor. Don't look like space ships or like batman had sex with a load of mice and made babies.

Well there are pro cs players that use laser sensors, but for consistent aiming it's preferable to have a mouse with minimal acceleration.

Sorry for my ignorance but why are laser sensor worst than optical? It's newer, more precise technology after all, no?

So even with raw input and acceleration off in all of the settings, etc. Laser sensors still have some amount of acceleration?
