Yep. They can be vender specific. Thats why some options are grayed out in a game with one hardware config and availible in others. If the right hardware is detected to run a feature, you can turn it on. A lot of this happens under the hood and you never see it. All this proprietary stuff is not that big of a deal. People these days just get really worked up over everything. It is getting sad.

No problem. I just wish people would not go straight to fanboy pitch forks and torches mode every time they read a news article. Its not just in the tech side either. It is everywhere in society. It is getting old and tiersome. To much of this thread is just that.
