Hello guys,

Ive just bought a 21" crt display for my laptop biggrin.gif Pretty crazy thing, cuz this one big beast smile.gif Heavy etc. The model I found is SUN GDM 5410. Now I can play some fps with 120 hz refresh rate, not just with 60 hz on my laptop. It work well, but I have to try some configurations with colors.

1800 x 1440 przy 85 Hz (MAX)

1600 x 1280 przy 85 Hz

1280 x 1024 przy 100 Hz

1024 x 768 przy 140 Hz

800 x 600 przy 160 Hz

These are resol. and refresh rates for this model, which I found working while buying it (the previous owner showed me them), but on my laptop I cant go above 120 hz. It is still really cool, now I can see everything smooth etc, but Im just asking: Why is that?

I have lenovo z580 with intel hd3000 and geforce gt635m.

Thank u for ur help.

Evidently your laptop can't reach your CRT's horizontal scan rate.
With a horizontal scan rate of I think 140 kilohertz, my Mitsubishi CRT, a 21 incher, can display 2048x1536 at 85 Hertz. But when driven by my Thinkpad W500, it can reach only 75 Hertz at that resolution.

LOL I had an old 19 inch CRT laying around in my apartment for a long time. I was so happy when someone helped me dump it off to be recycled.
