Sort of anyway. It run but only 1 ram slot works. mad.gif

So here is the $64,000 question.

Do I build a new system now? If so should I do a 4790k or a 5820k

Or should I try to get a used x58 mobo on Amazon or E-bay and wait for skylake?

Processor seems fine by the way. I ran prime95 on it for about 45 min last night and didn't get any errors.

Stupid computer....

It's definitely old enough to be worth upgrading. I'd go with the 5820k at this point.

Yeah and that was my original idea but with skylake supposedly being released in q3 it kinda seems like a waste.

it could be the processor's imc. mine also stopped detecting slot 1 and 2, so i swapped cpu and now it detects all 6. just a thought
