SweetFX is a double-edged sword. It makes some areas (FOR SCREENSHOTS) look great, while destroying others. I use ReShade for just 3 most important PP features - SMAA, FXAA, and LumaSharpen to offset SMAA and FXAA blur. That is it. That combination works so well for Witcher 3!

In other words, they could have chosen to make a smaller, more finely tuned game if they had focused on their projected PC income and just considered console ports as an added benefit, instead they went full ham in the other direction and banked on investors willing to support a console-centric title, spending money they didn't have to develop the game.

Thays why AAA games need consoles for the big sales and PC for leftover profit, thats the whole point.

Also how can you say that console sales are dead in the water for GTA V when it's still managing to rate as a top seller for the PS3 and in the top 5 for the PS4 (1 and 4 respectively)? Back in Feb it hit 10 million units across the PS4 and XB1.

For being as old as it is, the game is *still* selling well, and his point stands.

actually i am a armchair developer, tough i work for manufacturing industry. as in, my product has to work as otherwise nothing gets done. then again here we get payed well including overtime, unlike to gaming industry, where wages are low, since everyone and their grandma wants to make games

now in regard to TW3, its clearly that in console market the customer is not the players but MS and Sony. it was actually to be awaited since it was an old news that cdpr took 2m usd from nvidia, and i am not talking about the licences with nvidia gpus. why did i not thought that if cdpr sells to nvidia, they wouldnt sell to ms and sony is beyond me xD

also its bs that TW3 would not have been done, total BS. they are in effick poland, as in one of the cheapest cost of labor in eu. i know i live in the region. my it wage after taxes is few hundred euro away from what i would get after taxes in germany austria or switzerland, but after expenses it would be probably more or less the same. and with it job you can live here like a king if you dont take a mortgage out the moment you step out of university. and once you save 5+ years you can buy a condo cash, and then you really get to live like a king with your disposable income

Nothing I said disputed the sales numbers for consoles. I stated that the PC sales were lower than they would have been because people had 2 years to buy it on console if they really wanted it.

What else is there to buy on consoles other than GTA V, Bloodborne, and whatever the shooter of the day is? Of course it's going to remain a top seller, it only has about 4 other good games to compete with.
