Is there any way of getting the pci-e x4 slot to work at x4, says my link speed on my Intel 750 is x2 so it's only working at x2. frown.gif

One of those PCIe ports should be x4 and operate at x4 per my understanding, unless you have an additional device in the 4th PCIe slot?

I mean the smaller x4 slot, not the three long x16 slots. It says it's pci-e x4 (x2) in the manual so it might only run at x2.

I am not sure about that one. Do your GPUs preclude you from using the third slot which is supposed to be able to do at least x4? As I'm sure you know, there are very few motherboards that truly allow all PCIe slots to be used simultaneously with dual-slot GPUs.

I don't use much storage space so I run two GPUs in the top two x16 slots, want to run a 1.2TB 4x pci-e SSD in the x4 slot for storage and an M.2 Samsung 961 in the M.2 slot. if I use the M.2 slot it disables the third x16 slot. redface.gif

Another motherboard you need to disable the USB 3.1. It's either that or if possible disable the PCI-E x1 slot even though it's not being used or both. I'll figure it out. smile.gif

Battlefield is pretty hard on the Cores/CPU. So you will probably need to run a longer stress to pursue stability.
AIDA 64 is a bit easy.
OCCT a bit excessive.

But the concept is, run a longer stress test. Somewhere around 6 hours or so.

2 hours of BF4 is actually quite good. You're almost there IMO. Add a tiny bit of Vcore and try again? 0.020V maybe?

They want $160 to 'fix' my R5E with no guarantee it'll actually be fixed and if they can't I'm out the $160, I 'scratched' it. It was having issues even before I broke the tracer and even if they can fix that I worry there will still be problems. Like I could only boot BIOS defaults with the 'Cold Mode' jumper switched or I can't recall what the jumper is actually called. I think they'll fix one problem and not the others. I should have RMA'd it before I broke a tracer. frown.gif

Edit: I might try to have them fix it again when I have the disposable income. redface.gif

i don't think if they can't fix it they would send me a new one as I damaged it. drool.gif
