Like I could only boot BIOS defaults with the 'Cold Mode' jumper switched or I can't recall what the jumper is actually called. I think they'll fix one problem and not the others. I should have RMA'd it before I broke a tracer. frown.gif

Edit: I might try to have them fix it again when I have the disposable income. redface.gif

Ohh well. Mine no longer supports PCIE 3.0 at X16 on t he 2nd slot. I am down to X16-X8. Which does matter a bit in Benchmarks. biggrin.gif I should have RMAed before I broke the PCIe lock lever too. doh.gif

How do you find the Kitty? Can you get X16-X16 on 2 slots? IIRC, it didn't work on me. Same with the X99 Deluxe. rolleyes.gif

16x/16x with a 4x Intel 750 in third slot. biggrin.gif

And I'm getting pretty much the same CPU and memory OC, just had to loosen the timings a bit. smile.gif

alrighty! I havent had this happen yet but if this thing happens where i i set a new overclock and my system fails to boot to desktop how can i reset the settings? I've read from guides that if it fails to boot just go back to bios and c hange it, but how do i go back to bios if it doesnt boot?

Also is there another way to have my clocks and voltage go down when I'm idle? the adaptive thing is too hard for me to get it right...

I can get back to you on this. Needs to test this functionality myself. But yes, you can do it. I'll post some screenshots soon.

Press the power button for about 10 seconds to fully turn off the mobo then power it up again. This somewhat resets the settings to previous successful config and just go into the BIOS.

Hmm. Nice. thumb.gif I'll try them soon for Catzilla and 3DM11 for the Team Cup. biggrin.gif

I never had to loosen my timings here. Same capability in terms of Memory OC as the RVE sans the DEBUG LEDs.

The Mobo does add a bit more Voltage than you set in the BIOS though. A bit higher than what the RVE gives.

Search for the Haswell overclocking guide on this forum. The manual doesn't tell you how to overclock.

I'll post screens of my PC RealBench, stressapptest and Aida cache test stable at 4.7GHZ CPU/4.4 cache 32GB at 3200MHZ but I have a golden chip, Not too many will do that at the voltages I'm running. wink.gif
