Hi so if I'm not too interested in overclocking the cache do I still need to change settings for the country input voltage
post #1612 of 2033
I got 4.5 GHz with my adaptive voltage 1.25 right now. With Aida 64 running for 13 hours over night. I did real bench for 1 hour yesterday . Do you gurus think I still need to run it for more hours to make sure it's stable ? I don't wanna crash while gaming again but I think csgo, Gta and witcher should be fine right ??
I'll test battlefield again after my testing

You on an AIO or water? That's too high for air.

Have HWInfo running while you run RealBench, if you're CPUs stay under 75C or so and your CPU Package in under 80C you're fine.

You'll want to run RealBench, HCI MemTest for each thread you have using about 90% of your RAM and AIDA64 cache test. No BSODs or freezes you're good.

Oh, I figured out why I had BSOD trouble and now my voltages are lower and temps better. I recalled with this RAM kit if I put 16-16-17-35 1T instead of 16-16-16-35 1T it solved my stability issues. band.gif

Here's my settings for Adaptive/Offset now with a printable cheat sheet. biggrin.gif

But then, yeah, every chip is different. If it's needed to keep the chip stable, then that's fine. Honestly though, if your memory run that looooose, I can't say VCCSA needs to be tweaked that much. thumb.gif

1.12v VCSSA now on load and lower stable voltages as well., I remembered my RAM had issues until I changed 16-16-16-35 1T to 16-16-17-35 1T from my R5E. smile.gif

You should be able to run cache a 4.2-4.3GHZ at 1.2v or lower, cache helps things quite a bit, watch temps though. Run it Offset, not Adaptive and try it on Manual until you figure out the voltages you need. Then on Offset use HWInfo and see the voltages when RealBench is running, have it maybe .003 or so above your manual setting because Adaptive/Offset usually fluctuates a bit more on load then Manual. thumb.gif

Edit: Run AIDA64 cache stress test to test cache stability. smile.gif

Can it do higher than 4.8 benching? Have you been up to that lately?

I've had it up to 5 GHZ on water but haven't been benching much lately since I went Pro and left the overclock.net Novice HWBot team... frown.gif
