Scroll back up same page on this thread and look at my stress test temps. The cooler rocks.

Meanwhile, I followed the advice of XKM1948, with a 1.1V the temps dropped to ten degrees:

Are this temps good for daily use? Or are they still too high?

These are great temps! Peak temp below 75 should make your CPU last a long time.

Good news on unbuffered 128GB kit. According to the new DRAM QVL document for our X99, we can finally use 128GB kit on our Sabertooth X99! Although our initial choices are pretty much limited. Either a GSKill DDR4-2666 kit or a Corsair DDR4-2400 kit. Still I am definitely shooting for a good set of DDR4-3000 or 3200 128GB kit. Setting up a RAM disk of about 100GB is even faster than getting a PCI-E 4X SSD.

And another good news guys!

ASUS just released another TUF motherboard. The ASUS Sabertooth Z170 Mark S. I went to dig around its download section and sure enough we have ourselves a brand new version of AISuite3!

And this is not the AISuite3 for the ROG series, it is specifically for us TUF owners! This is the latest 1.01.30 for TUF AISuite3! Release date is Dec 31st 2015. So basically the latest AISuite3 with Thermal Rader 2 instead of DIP5!

ASUS AI Suite 3 V1.01.30 Install Program for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS Ai Charger+ V3.02.00 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS EZ Update V2.01.32 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS Mobo_Connect V1.00.25 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS Push Notice V1.01.06 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS System Information V1.00.22 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS Thermal Radar 2 V1.00.69 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS USB 3 Boost V1.10.04 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.
ASUS USB BIOS Flashback V1.03.07 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit / 8.1 64bit / 10 64bit.

And this is not all, there is also a new version of CPU-Z with ASUS TUF skin!! Also from Z170S download section. Sweet!

Just installed the TUF skinned CPU-Z on my work computer. Sweet!biggrin.gif:D:D

ASUS is so lazy. They would never bother to put these new software on the download page for older TUF motherboards.

You do lose USB Charger + integration into AISuite3, which is sort of nice as it allows charging with the PC shut down, and since I didn't have any problems with the production version on our motherboard... umm... rolleyes.gif You don't need to upgrade for the sake of upgrading! tongue.gif

Also, Mobo connect, is that even supported on our board? I don't care one way or the other about it, I'll probably never use it, but I think it's a Bluetooth app for keyboard/mouse sharing with some hard wire audio functionality, so not good to install for our mobo....

Not to totally shoot down the new version, I do like it's fan management graphic for the mobo assistant fan.. BUT, yes BUT! Regrettably I installed this new version, and so I am headed back to our production version now as it has all the features specific to our mobo.

I do like the CPUID smile.gif

Back to my Sabertooth x99 Production Release of AISuite3 and running beautifully once again, all features GO!

By the way, to return properly you must uninstall AISuite3 and then manually delete the AsusFanControlService (using SC at an admin command prompt), and then delete the folder with the newer version of AsusFanControlService. AISuite3 will reinstall its version. You potentially start getting odd behavior when you mix versions...

Good luck! thumb.gif

Hey everyone, thought I'd finally post after monitoring this forum for a while now. I did my Christmas build about a month ago (specs below) , did some very basic overclocking and haven't really done much tweaking since. I got a stable 4.375 out of it using the XMP profile which gave me a 125 BCLK x 35. I've been quite content with that but with the 2101 BIOS out, I'm debating on what to do next. My DDR4-3000 is nice and stable running at its correct speed with that 125 BCLK and I'd rather not mess that up given that apparently 2101 drops the XMP to 100.

I checked my notes from a month ago and I did some playing around with BCLK/Strap at 100 and came up with a stable OC of 4.3 (100 x 43 presumably) @ 1.296 vcore (that was the AISuite reading at max OC during Prime95 - I don't remember the BIOS ram voltage I had set) so I SHOULD be able to hit that with BIOS 2101 but with my previous board (Rampage IV Black Ed.) I had a 4.7 OC and no matter what, after a BIOS update I could not get past 4.6. I'd rather not repeat that.

So, my reasons for this post:

1. Should I pull the trigger on 2101? Will I actually gain anything given my current setup?
2. I do have one issue with the system now, likely due to the OC. It will not do a warm reboot. If I do a Restart from Windows it will end Windows and begin restarting but right when it should show the post screen I get a 3 second delay, then power off. I can always successfully power on without any error but it is slightly annoying not to be able to reboot. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

I got CPU / BLCK @ 100 via 2101 on my Corsair Dominator DDR4-2800 4 x 8gb just using XMP. Something that didn't happen before 2101 which is very good for me, but others didn't have such great results....
