Cheapest Decent Res Laptop?

Thread Starter
For work, I need a laptop to remote into my workstation. I am wasting too much time in meetings and taking notes... only having to re-type them later.

Since it's for remote connection, CPU and RAM are not really important.

I just want:
1) the display to be better than 1366x768
2) battery that still good (so used laptops are maybe acceptable)
3) keyboard (so tablets are out)

Any suggestions?

Get an old/used Lenovo ThinkPad. Top build quality, great display, excellent keyboards. Since CPU/GPU aren't important for your application, you can get one from 5-7 years ago for a few hundreds bucks and enjoy the best keyboard/pointing devices money can buy on a laptop. Another benefit is CHEAP PARTS - batteries, replacement keyboards, etc., are all very reasonable due to the large number of machines in the business sector.

Check this out - the W530 is a awesome machine.
