So i'm trying to dial in some settings for the witcher 3 to get a nice 60fps at 4k. Rig specs are under my 2013 rig, which is SLI evga SSC 970's at stock clocks and a 3570k @ 4.2GHz
with evga optimized settings, it doesn't want me to go any higher than 1440p. but at those settings i'm getting a very steady 80+fps
settings as follows:
Ambient Occlusion: NVIDIA HBAO+
Anti-aliasing: On
Bloom: On
Depth of Field: on
Detail Level: Ultra
Display Mode: Full-screen
Foliage Visibility Range: High
Grass Density: High
Light Shafts: On
Number of Background Characters: Ultra
NVIDIA HairWorks: Off
Resolution: 2560x1440
Shadow Quality: Ultra
Terrain Quality: Ultra
Texture Quality: Ultra
Water Quality: Ultra
when same settings are applied and run at 4k, fps is 30-40fps. now i know i will need to turn some stuff down/off and i'm curious as to what settings make the most difference in fps and least difference in game to get that number to bump up to a nice 60.
will do some more searching and see if i can find some answers elsewhere, but this would be some helpful info for anyone else searching for similar answers.
edit: well here's this.
