I know! I want the i5 just mess about with but $320?? I'd consider it at $250. It's the irisPRO that I really want to toy with. My concern ultimately is that these will be at the end of life before they are even born. Skylake kind of did that already I guess. I'm sure Broadwell isn't cheap to make with 128 mb L4 cache and the iGPU.

well there wont be any skylake desktop K SKU with IRIS PRO so it's still kind of unique.

That's a shame

Intel could take their DDR4 memory interface and squash it with their IRIS PRO graphics core and create a serious contender to something like, say, a 7850 or 650 ti boost.

Better yet, they could make a quad channel IRIS EXTREME

Today, please

EDRAM is there for a reason...

Btw, the successor of Broadwell C will be Kaby Lake C with 72 EU (iris pro has 48) and 256MB of EDRAM.

This is unconfirmed and unfortunately I doubt it will be the case.

Exciting! Please post your impressions once you have some time with it! Are you planning on using its irisPro then as the primary graphics solution?

Sure I'll post up some Benchies with it. I run Tri-fire 7970's, But I will still test it and see. Wife runs onboard, she will get it when I upgrade to Skylake-e or Zen.
