Asus M7F code 00

Hello OCN, putting this here because I feel it makes the most sense considering the problem.

But anyway I built my first Intel rig with an Asus Maximus VII Formula and 4790K and it is not stable at stock settings. What I mean is default bios values, no gpu, no drives; just mobo, CPU, ram, psu. When being powered on for about 15 minutes (even sitting idle at the bios screen) the computer powers down, powers up, powers down, then powers up for the last time throwing qcode 00, here it sits with no video output and none of the indicator LEDs lit. If you try to power cycle it in this situation then you just get the same thing. But if you disconnect power for an hour you can boot normally into the bios, but only for so long because the problem happens again in about 15 minutes.

I called Asus and spent the better part of a day with them troubleshooting. Nothing helps; tried 3 different sets of ram, and individual sticks, 2 different psus, reflashing the bios multiple times, clearing CMOS, removing battery etc etc but the same mobo and CPU since I don't have other Intel gear. But like I said earlier leaving the board disconnected from power "helps."

That was over a month ago, fast forward to today and I RMAd the board and Asus tells me they had it running nonstop for a week and it never once did this cycling I described and suggested it just has to be the CPU. Well last night I got a replacement CPU from Intel's rma (best rma process I've ever dealt with). Take note my mobo is my mobo, not a replacement (same serial number and weirdly Asus put on a new set of that armor stuff, so now I have a second set...) and... Well I have the same exact problem.

I doubt I got 2 dead CPUs in a row, and it seems unlikely that both my psus are dead (they worked in the previous system), AND that 6 different sticks of ram are also dead (they too worked in my previous system). So I can't help but point my finger at the board.

Any other options?

Mobo: Asus Maximus vii formula
CPU: 4790K
Psu: Corsair HX1000i
Ram: Gskill TridentX in 1600mhz

Edit: I'm out of ideas. Sounds like a faulty motherboard to me. Try using another power point (from the wall) instead of the one you usually use. E.g try other room to test.

You know I had the same feeling staring at this mess of wires and board, I'll let you know.

Eh the problem is worse now, tried original outlet and several others. And now it boots for a second with code 00 and the cpu fan spins for a sec, powers off, powers on with code 00 etc, now its endless instead of just staying on after the 2nd power down.
