Anyone running this game on an AMD setup experiencing these issues? I'm using 16.5.3 because 16.6.1 won't install for me (driver detection error first thing when trying to install)

Please zoom in or view original. In the first outdoor area there are very fine lines like a grid all over everything. (I cropped the image down from 5760x1080)

On top of that, I play at 5760x1080 (which has no native support in the engine/HUD centering, I had to use Flawless Widescreen to fix it) and Crossfire doesn't work.

It's a damn shame because my system runs Witcher 3 at 60 fps on Ultra at my resolution...I know if Crossfire worked I could run the game on high (at least) at 60 fps...

Feeling like I totally wasted $60, what a garbage piece of trash game, Id software sucks, I'm not going to play it at 30 fps

Welcome to one of the 'cons' of a multi-GPU system? Also, you bought the game knowing you were going to be pushing a super wide resolution off of a single 380X? I fail to see how this is any fault of id. Might as well get a refund from Steam at this point.

No, I bought the game thinking it would support my Crossfire setup, like many other games have in recent years. Obviously I didn't want to play it on a single 380X, I thought it would support Crossfire. That still doesn't explain the serious graphic artifacts in my screenshot above.

A few years back when I had dual 290s, most new games would come out and support Crossfire (and Eyefinity) out of the box. Sleeping Dogs is a good example. Seems like in the last 2 years PC gaming has hit the crapper in this regard, with many games totally neglecting to support setups like this...

I guess I'll get a refund and play the numerous older PC games from the last 5 years I haven't finished that actually support my setup.

I wonder why I'm even in this hobby anymore.

Have you attempted to disable Crossfire for this game? I know many of the people here have reported disabling SLI on their setups caused the game to remain and perform more stable. Support for SLI and Crossifre is supposedly coming, and I even saw some SLi scaling, but nothing official exists yet.

Also, I'd try multiple drivers rather than just 2. If you're getting Driver Detection errors, there's a deeper problem there.

I finished the game in 2560x1440 on a Devil 390x2, normally, one GPU was working, and it couldnt handle 4k at 60 fps.

I sent the Card back, and im going to get two 480x.

Hopefully untill then im going to have crossfire Support, and Vulkan, i want to replay the game on 4k at 60 fps.

The best guess I have is that the OC + Crossfire support is helping it. I've got no experience with AMD past the HD7870, so I'm not sure how well the OCs scaled for them.

I mean I do like it and as I have stated initially I had fun playing it hence why I even bought the game as I was more into the multiplayer part of it. But it is monotonous despite its fun and entertaining gameplay concept, so mainly due to that sole matter I stopped playing it and wont see myself playing it anytime in the future. The season pass is overpriced and the content that it has to offer is not worth the time nor the money. I am now done with DOOM as a whole, might possibly return to it once I upgrade my GPU and if there will be a single player DLC.

Thanks for your help/advice..

I have disabled Crossfire, yet the graphical artifacts in the first outdoor area remain. I haven't tried playing it at 1080p, so maybe it's a side effect of super wide resolution.

The driver detection error is actually AMD's fault and numerous people are reporting it, they did something wrong when they signed the 16.6.1 drivers, so Windows driver enforcement flags it as unsigned and won't let it install. See: https://community.amd.com/thread/201502 There's nothing wrong on my end, and I'm too lazy to go through all the hassle of disabling driver signature enforcement etc. to try and get it to install.

I will probably wait a month or two until there's a Crossfire profile. At my resolution I have to pretty much turn most settings to low to get around 40 fps on one 380X. As I've said, I can run Witcher 3 on mostly Ultra with post processing off, 60 fps at 5760x1080. So I know I could run Doom at high fps on better settings if my Crossfire worked.

I downloaded the demo and tried to run it, but only getting 5 fps with around 300.00ms odd. Do I need to install new drivers or overclock the CPU?
