It's absolutely no question his friend is BS'ing him. 750ti has a 128bit bus and this game is super bandwidth heavy.

What resolution does he play at? If it's 720p and the 750ti is overclocked to 1400mhz I'd believe it. 1080p? No way.

This game has been just sitting in my library since I'm waiting on my new GPU. Out of sheer boredom I tried it on my media PC with my GTX 460...let's just say it was a slideshow. 11 FPS is I got at most. tongue.gif

This will be my first 21:9 game ever, I can't wait.

1366x768, so yes 720p, no idea if overclocked or not.

You can believe what you want, I'm just going by what she told me. I told her what to set each setting, we started on medium because I didn't believe she could play the game at more than 30 FPS either, but right from the start she was telling me 60 fps so I told her to change settings to high, in the first area she went down to 40-50 fps but once she got outside it was staying above 60 FPS.

To be perfectly honest though, this game really irks me with performance. Friend of mine bogs down to 46 FPS on an overclocked 4670k + GTX 970 on ultra @ 1080p, while the lowest I've ever seen during actual gameplay was 65 with an average of about 100 on the same settings.

I play at 1080p medium setting on my laptop (860m) and im averaging around 50 (resolution scale set to 80%) So I do think it's possible. Especially at lower resolutions.

At 900p, I was rocking 60fps. However, I bumped it up to 1080 and messed around with the scale until I got it suitable for me.

1080p as low as everything could go. I got my monitor in and tried it for fun @ 3440x1440 maxed out. I literally got between 0-3 fps. I was actually kind of impressed it didn't crash instantly. lachen.gif
It runs Fallout 4 at an acceptable level on low with flawless widescreen running at least.

Hahaha, funny.

I'm surprised it didn't crash too.

Go into Diamond City and watch your GPU melt at that resolution. devil.gif

I don't even need to play this to know what kind of a game it is, just watch all the vids. It's the 2012 or Independence day of games.

Visually incredible maps, but just lacks complete atmosphere, story & old PC game play. Just fast paced boring action that's found in multi platform games everywhere trying to sell the most copies.

The monsters & action seem like candlepower ratings, blown out of proportion until it's lost all meaning. Instead of scaring the crap out of you, they put 70 demons in for you to fight.

No way I'm spending 4K on a PC to play this.

I think this game is the best example of old PC game play in recent times. Its a run and gun in your face action shooter. The devs have made it very clear that was their goal and imo they nailed it. It isn't supposed to be about diving into a deep storyline or having a shock factor.

Sure it is a bit of a linear game but that's one of the things that I enjoy about it. No BS run around blowing stuff up without useless fluff just to make it a 200hr completion.

In regards to the stuff I bolded on your post...you should try the game before you talk about how it compares to everything else. And I agree, you shouldn't spend 4k on a PC to play it. I cant see any sane person spending that much just for a particular game tongue.gif
