Although, I haven't had a chance to unlock a single classic map. Also Rich Get Richer rune with infinite ammo plus spinning chaingun is a frickin' hack. Killed cyberdemon without getting hit (except died once during first time shockwave attack). LAWL!

What do you do to unlock the classic map? I have not beaten the game yet so not sure that applies..

Every level has a hidden lever. If you find the lever on the map, you pull it and it opens a locked door. If you manage to pull the lever as well as find the door and enter the room, you unlock a classic map.

As you progress through the game, the levers are hidden in ridiculous locations. Not to mention the doors... Believe me, some are hard. Try not to spoil it by googling it. A lot of the secrets, early on that least, are in areas that are easily accessible. They force you to get creative smile.gif

Although there's one secret (not the old map room) on the necropolis level that's kinda gimmicky.

Homing, raining, death. Especially if it's fully upgraded where it never needs to reload. PEW PEW PEW

Micro Missiles fully upgraded is the most versatile weapon IMO. Kills anything.

Is anyone else having trouble running this game? I bought it about two weeks ago and it was running ok - just a few lockups during the intro while using Vulkan but OpenGL ran fine. Now, the Vulkan API won't pass the intro screen, and OpenGL crashes to desktop a few seconds after I get in game. I've disabled all overclocks but still having the same issues. I'm on Win7, 5930K, 2X 980 Ti, 144hz TN monitor. Does anyone know of a fix?

Doom demo now has a Vulkan patch just landed, if anyone wants to try without buying the full game. My 980 TI went from 165fps to 161fps at 2560x1080 Ultra. Yay...

Hit the last level. Ultra Violence is minimum difficulty at which the game should be played. Going to finish tonight. Best shooter to come out in a decade.
