Will the game outright reject the install or will it allow me to install and I will have performance issues, or will it be ok.

CPU: 1055t @3.5ghz OC
GPU: Gigabyte Windforce R9 290x
RAM: 16gb 1600mhz
SSD Hard Drive

Seems like I should be fine as I have a strong GPU and standard (if a little slow) RAM. Didn't know if the CPU would be completely rejected and fail to install or if It would truely bottle neck the system. The GPU still benchmarks in the top few percent when I have my OC at 3.5ghz, when I run 2.8ghz stock it still posts impressive numbers, but reduced. Any help would be nice. I dont want to upgrade my motherboard, cpu, and all just to play DOOM.

If your cpu is comparable, it should be fine. Id will not reject the game from installing. I've never seen this happen.

loved this game, near completionist here, did all the runes and upgraded all of them. Just missing some DoomGuy figurines. I put in about 16 hours in the game all campaign.

I had about 3 CTD in that time, no messages no errors, nothing. Luckily the game saves often so no backtracking really happened.

This is decent. Shows it only cares for 4 cores, with i5 vs i7 being moot, preferring clockspeed.

I have had programs and games in the past not allow the install to complete due to insufficient system specs. I don't think its common, but it does happen. I didn't know if they had some kind of feature like this in the install process to minimize the number of complaints they received for glitchy game play caused from too low of spec'd computers.

Hope that makes sense now...

I.e. run a stock system with a stock GPU or slightly underclocked GPU. I'd try one at a time, starting with the GPU. If you find anything even remotely relevant during this process, it can definitely be a help of determining the overall problem. Because while it may not be your PC or your OCs, it could just be an instability in the game itself that is only shown in certain situations.

After i changed all settings to stockclocks i received a CTD again so no it's not a oc issue...

I wish I had my 1090T system set up to test for you. What resolution are you gaming at? I foresee you having to turn down a couple settings, but so long as you don't mind that, you should be good to go.

Thank you for giving it a try, and not attempting to bite my head off right away smile.gif. I suggest posting your findings in the Steam link that was posted earlier. System specs + that info is stupidly useful in these situations thumb.gif.

well son-of-a-*****.... Got my first CRASH TO DESKTOP today while playing and killing about 1000 enemies all at once. Game was loaded down with so many enemies on the screen at once, i think the game gave up on it self rolleyes.gif ... Got a 2nd one about 30 minutes later ALSO fighting about 1000 enemies at once.. Played for several hours and had 2 CTD errors. We need "Something" updated to correct this and we need SLi support and better game drivers for us SLi users.... END RANT!

Has anyone else had trouble with the weapon wheel? Every time I try to open it it wont go away until I alt-tab out of the game. You can still move the selector in the wheel and the background music keeps playing but its kinda frustrating when I accidentally hit the "q" button. I don't even really use weapon wheels since I prefer the number keys but still it shouldn't be happening!
