Razer Mamba / Tournament Edition - Page 41

lol. the DA chroma doesn't even have a dpi switch? haha that is ridiculous, considering it's such a "dpi mouse"
Nope.

The old DA had a button for that on the bottom like the Zowie mice, but the newer models doesn't.
I know FPS mice doesn't need so much buttons, but I don't want to sacrifice one of my buttons to do that. I need back-forward on the side, and the new tab on the mouse wheel click.

Maybe I'll try the Mamba anyways, I had the old one too, and they say it had the same axis bug like this one (never noticed but it was before I got into gaming mice more seriously). If it's not that good I'll ask a refund.

I've been thinking about buying a new mouse.

My plan B is the DA chroma (plan C is the G502 RBG), but it's lacking of a dpi switch is not too good for me.
Mamba TE seems a good option (button and shape wise) but the axis bug troubles me.

Does it still have this bug when lifting the mouse or they rolled out a frimware fix (i've red something about a frimware fix on reddit)?

Many thanks for your answer!

I just got the G502 yesterday, and it is by far the best mouse I've ever used. All 11 buttons are relatively easy to get to, especially if you have medium to large hands. I'd consider mine relatively small, and it's still great. I didn't quite like the clicks on the DA personally, and I'm going to assume they're the same on the Mamba considering both the Mamba and the DA use a very similar shape.

Also, if you're willing to spend $150 on a mouse, you could spend it on the Logitech G900. No z-axis bug, more buttons, 3366 sensor, better clicks, etc. etc. Unless you want a lot of RGB on your mouse, it's a much better option.

I would never pay that much for a mouse. I was considering the Mamba TE.
I really don't care about the lighting, it's under my hand most of the time, and when it's not my Pc is off anyways.

I tried the G502 but that stupid scrollwheel.....
And it has other issues like left and right mouse button wobble. I was able to lift them up because they sticked to my finger and when it fell back made an awful noise.

I have a G303. Strange is for like 6 months it was fine, but now my hand starts to hurt after a few hours using it. Thats the main reason why I'm looking for a new mouse. I had DA before nice shape but lacking a DPI switch is a problem now. But I guess I have to make that sacrifice, because this PLN sensor is not really for online FPS.

Yeah, in most of the reviews I've seen, the only con most of them had pointed out was the scroll wheel. I agree that they could have made it less clunky than it is, in fact, I think they did improve on it in the G900. I personally like the functionality of it, though.

However, I'm not having the same wobbly buttons problem that you had. Perhaps I haven't had mine long enough for it to start occurring, but you should really RMA yours if it's still under warranty.

19 AUG 2015 - Quick update on the Razer Mamba:
We noted a couple of isolated user reports relating to tracking on the Razer Mamba Tournament Edition, issue in particular being that the cursor would stop moving for a short amount of time.

We have looked into this and have completed a firmware update to address this issue – this firmware is available through Razer Support. If you think that you have been affect by this problem – please contact us directly via Razer Support at www.razersupport.com/email.

We’d like to highlight that this issue is isolated and it does not affect every Razer Mamba Tournament Edition unit. All units with serial number PM153513770494 onward will come preloaded with the new Firmware.
If you’re gaming with it and have no issues then there is no need to request the firmware through Razer Support.

Thanks for the feedback.
