It worked well enough for a lot of people and it happened to work fine for me. I tend to base my opinion of a game on how fun it is to play, not how many FPS I get while playing it.

Frames aren't the reason I was asking, but was curious about the playability because if they put it back on steam then it must be fixed.

It's always been playable - even without any patches (I beat it without any of the patches installed), you just have to be willing to actually mess with some settings. I turned the paper debris off, and went into an ini file and changed the max framerate. Instant playability, and good framerates. thumb.gif

That interactive smoke/fog was a huge fps killer. Drop it for big gains.

When I had the 4k screen Batman Arkham Knight was one of the smoother running games on my single 980 ti.

And yea, it's always been playable for me. The main issue I noticed short of the interactive smoke were load spots that you'd hit that would stutter. Once you'd hit one the first time in a session the spot wouldn't stutter after during the same session. This was latter fixed in a patch.

I left the smoke and fog on, they're good effects. The paper debris was pretty useless though, so I could easily do without that. biggrin.gif

It has been a while since I played the game. I want to say I left smoke/fog on on my 1440p Gsync screen. Though testing with it disabled removed a lot of the drops you'd get from doing things like donuts. Pretty sure I cut it out when running at 4k. Hell, I likely cut out all the Gameworks effects at 4k since it's such as sob res to push single gpu.

Not sure if I tested the game on my current monitor. Not sure that it would work in 21:9.

Game caught a lot of misplaced slack if you ask me. Guess WB didn't grease the right palms or something.

Anyone get this game working on 5870 in crossfire or at least just one 5870? ive seen it working on a single 5770 on low settings just not sure why mine is still artifacting and flickering.

Never got it to function well on 5000/6000 series Radeon GPUs. First setup I tried it on that worked well was GCN 1.0 (HD 7850). R5 240 was better than the HD 5/6000 series even, mainly because of the extra VRAM.
