I don't remember getting that much errors before. Just 1 or 2 sometimes. Is it normal? Anything to worry about?

As far as I can tell card temps are allright. While playing Witcher 3 for example, gpu maxes out around 67-68 and vrms 79-80.

I'm just a bit lazy these days to roll back some of those previous drivers to test thoroughly. But I can do it if it's necessary.

Doesnt matter. If you have no artifacts, no issues, no crashes then who gives a flying ..... lol. Hwinfo might be processing uncorrected errors so who really knows.

Yeah, so far no issues, no crashes and nothing visible as artifacts, but it still made me wonder if it's a normal thing or not.

Sorry to just jump in the conversation.
But i just realized what true sadness is...
So i have a Gigabytee version of the R9 390... Which is hard voltage locked...
And i'm sittin here . At 1127 core clock. 1630 memory clock. With a max temp of 75C in every single tests i run after 1 hour....
Fans are at like 65%... Like for real. The sadness here is true...
Wondeer rhow much could i get out of it with a normal oc.
Some people run their cards at like 90C with OC. Which is just 4Clower before it starts throttle...
Not to meniton that if i would really wanna be ghetto style just remove the backplate and place a fan blowing air to the back of the card. Also heard that some people put fans to the sides of the card basically sucking air out of the card ...
Such sadness... xD The potential that i can never see...

390 Crossfire @water or GTX 1080@ water ?
1440p resolution.
I have already one 390+ water , so i could buy another one +new PSU , or sell this and buy 1x 1080 , and PSU will be enough ( FSP raider 550)
I have 390x crossfire and I don't have any issues, works great and I'm very happy with it. That said though, I'd probably go 1080 if I had to buy another PSU as well... but honestly I'd prob wait a bit and get the next AMD card coming out instead of the 1080. I just can't stand the way Nvidia treats its customer base anymore.

DX12/Vulcan and all becoming the new standard... Just my 2c.

Hello to all,

I am newly registered to this forum but I am familiar with its content as I've visited
this group before.

I too own a R9 390X (Sapphire Variation) and I currently have a concern as to if this GPU
fits well on the ASROCK Z170 OC Formula Motherboard because I saw a review written
by someone saying he was unable to make his R9 390 fit on the PCIE x16 (first slot) .

So, anyone has this MB ?

Thanks to All.
why unable to make it fit?

cuz the cpu cooler? isn't the plastic cover for the I/O shield where it says OC FORMULA somewhat in the way?

I know nothing more than such brief complaint from this stranger of the written review.

The reason I've posted this question is because I was considering in affording this
MB, but without knowing for sure before buying is a no no for me.

Not relating to the review, my concern was that my GPU would not go in because of the
side I/O plastic cover which is one piece of cover extending down through the audio section,
and from picture research on the MB I understood that the first top PCI-E is way to close to
the bottom end of the I/O plastic cover, and secondly I feared that little GPU plastic pieces from
the front end of my card would hit the audio plastic cover and go no further as this cover is a little elevated.

So basically now I dropped on the idea of getting this MB as I was just not confident about it, by taking
into consideration that I cannot just buy another GPU at this time if something went wrong on the sticking -
placing Dept. No returns no refunds if that happens right ! ?

yeah you better get a usual board, one that people are using already with the video card you own
